We’re pretty stoked about the new Cascade Botanical TVO-2B and TVO-5B, which are the first ovens we’ve built specifically for the cannabis industry and we know our discerning customer base is going to like what they see.
Interestingly enough, one of the most exciting things about the new ovens is also one of the most boring – a safety certification. Every Cascade Botanical oven that leaves our factory wears a TUV SUD safety certification mark. As a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), TUV SUD is one of a few third party labs that is accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to test and certify electronic products as safe in the United States. Other NRTLs include Underwriters Laboratories (UL), CSA Group (CSA) NSF International (NSF) and Intertek (ETL).
Cascade Botanical vacuum ovens are the first in the industry to carry a safety certification from an accredited third party testing lab on its entire line of ovens at no additional cost to the customer. Download the full certificate.
Why should you care?
A growing number of state and local agencies are requiring vacuum ovens in cannabis extraction labs to be certified for safety by an NRTL. Having this certification gives our customers the piece of mind they need to know they will never encounter an issue with getting approval from a fire department or industrial hygienist.
What about CE certification?
CE is a self-issued mark indicating compliance with specific European safety regulations and has no authority in the United States. It may or may not satisfy the requirements of certain municipalities.
